New 10 inch Cotton Sieve for use with Kombucha and Water Kefir Hi This is a brand new all cotton Sieve That I picked up at an asian market... I got them to order me a hundred of them because I know that people will need them and they are very hard to find... I looked around. If you bottle kombucha you should run your good kombucha tea through a sieve like this to get out more of the large strains of bacteria because you don't want that much fermentation happening in your bottle while you age it. This sieve is perfect for that... A lot of directions say to put the kombucha tea through a coffee filter ... well; I tried that and it doesn't work. This works If you are working with water kefir this sieve is great because you can put whatever element you are working with in the sieve and it won't mix with your grains... You can put fruit, veggies or grains in the sack and ferment them with your water kefir... This is very obscure stuff but I know there are many people who will find this sieve very useful in their fermenting and here it is for you. If you use this sieve be sure to put it in boiling water before every use and then run it through good clean non clorinated water to cool it off quickly after boiling and then use it right away with what ever you are dong with it The sieve in new and unused ... it is 10 inches long and it has a metal holder... the opnining at the top is 5 inches and it gets proggresively smaller as it goes down as most sieves do... that is it in the picture resting on a half gallon mason jar.. the mason jar is not included in this listing but should you buy one of the mason jars I have listed I will get you back 2 bucks off the mason jars shipping. If you buy the sieve by itself I wil send it first class mail with a computer generated label, you will receive a delivery comfimation/tracking number when I print the label... insurance is not necessary becaue this printed label with a bar code and a tracking number almost never gets lost You can also combine this sieve with most of my kombucha orders... should you want to combine it with the kombucha let me know with your zip code information and I will tell you which of my kombucha listings it can combine with and what the shipping price would be... if you wanted to combine the sieve with the 1/2 gallon 2 piece mason jar and the kombucha the whole package would ship for 10 dollars and I would return any extra shipping charges over that. I'm sorry but I won't sell water kefir grains.. you'll have to get them someplace else. This offer is only good where USPS First Class Mail goes and remember that first class mail is a 2 to 5 business day delivery...I get all my packages out very quickly and if your order is in before noon easter time I get it out that day...
